I was never a fan of racing games until I played the Burnout series. This franchise takes away just a little bit of the boring realistic aspects of driving and adds a huge amount fun to create an adrenaline pumping experience that you'll always want to keep coming back to. Even after playing through this game over 6 years ago, I still want to go back to Paradise City, and to this day Burnout Paradise remains one of my all time favourite games. This amazing open-world city and pseudo-country environment, built from the ground up for races, jumps and carnage, will provide gamers of all ages countless hours of fun.
There is a huge amount of really varied events to complete, from standard races to stunt runs, and throughout all of them you'll find top-notch core mechanics of thrilling speed, boosting and drifting, jumps and stunts, and ramming your opponents to create stunning crashes. Not to mention the game looks and runs great on any platform. If you've never really tried a racing game before or it's never really seemed that fun to you, you owe it to yourself to try this one. I can't think of better value for your money than picking this up right now.
