Great package deal for those who missed out

I am usually reluctant in purchasing games from the last generation, as I always feel like I'm going to miss something thats going on now. When I went to Best Buy and found this bundle for 20 bucks, I impulse purchased the game in hopes of sparkig my interest in the latest additions in the series. While I haven't played the second game in the bundle as of yet, I must say I'm thoroughly impressed with the first. The graphics are good for being several years old, and the framerate drops during intense action are not annoying.
Basically, in the first game you have to complete several objectives for each of the soldiers - american, russian, and british respectively. The combat is your typical first person shooter business - point/aim/shoot, with a few grenades here and there. There are a few sequences when you get to manipulate some specialty weapons as well. For the most, you have to duck and take cover throughout the missions, in order to complete your objectives. It's alot more simple than it looks.
While these may not be the longest games out there, the bundle as a whole does provide a good amount of entertainment if you're looking for some good intense action in a single player campaign. The fact of the matter is, The game is just plain fun, and I would imagine that the second one is even better. I typically don't bother with first person shooters, as they've never been my cup of tea, but I've got to say this one has changed my perspective to some degree. It's only 20 bucks - if you missed out on the first two games in the series and jumped on te COD3/4 band wagon, you owe it to yourself to pick this one up.
