Great multiplayer and fun campaign make this game a great title for the ds.

User Rating: 8.5 | Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - Mobilized DS
When I first picked up this game, I was very skeptical. I had played its big brother on the XBOX 360 and was worried for a cheap clone. I was pleasantly suprised though.

Campaign 8/10

The game had nice missions that ran parallel to the modern warfare 2 campaign. Unfortunately, at harder difficulties you have to develop cheap tactics that make the game much less fun. The different weapons and vehicles definitely made the single player worth playing

Controls 7/10

The controls follow that of most ds shooters. You use the L or R button to shoot, the D-Pad to move, and the touch screen for everything else. I would recommend the thumb strap for easy aiming on the touch screen. You reload by clicking an icon of the gun, and slide on that picture to change weapons. It is complicated to begin with but becomes easier as time goes on. This game does a good job of translating the controls to the DS for what they have to work with.

Graphics 7.5/10

The graphics are very realistic for the DS. Although blocky at points this game is reaching max polygons without slowing down your DS. The game has detailed weapons and reloading animations are fair. Character models differ from the square jawed marines to the masked terrorists. Graphics are above average in this game.

Sound 7/10

It is hard to rate sound because of one sound effect in particular, the enemy death cry. It is a badly recorded sound that gets extremely annoying very quickly. The weapon sounds on the other hand are well recorded and differ greatly between guns.

Extras 8/10

The game had fun extras like challenges, a timed/scored mode called arcade, minigames, and survival mode. Survival mode is a mode I wished they had added to the game's big brother: a mode where you are rushed by terrorists and have to survive a set amount of time with guns that appear based on time. Arcade mode plays a bit like a time attack game and you try to beat your score each time. The other mode worth mentioning is challenge. In this you have to accomplish certain tasks in x amount of time (i.e: kill 20 enemies in 5 minutes).

Multiplayer 9.5/10

The highlight of this game was definitely multiplayer. There are plenty of modes and up to 6 DS's are supported. With plenty of maps and guns, the multiplayer is the best part about the game. There is room for improvement, though, you cannot change your weapon once in game, there are no snipers, and the entire game shuts down if the host is disconnected. New guns are unlocked after a certain amount of kills but feel more or less balanced. Overall, this is the best multiplayer I've seen from a DS game.

Final Word 8.5/10

This game offfers a nice campaign, fair graphics, and an amazing multiplayer. This game is definately worth buying for anyone who owns a DS. It is my personal favorite on the DS.
