Good for anyone with a craze for 2D sidescrollers, Cave Story is the best free game I've ever played.

Cave Story is truly a remarkable feat, being free and all. Who would invest so much time and effort into creating a game for free??? Well, either way, I'm thankful someone did, because Pixel has really created something special. The graphics and such just ooze nostalgia, the soundtrack is ****ing epic, and best of all, it's free!!!

How to Download;
Step 1: Go to a little site called www.cavestory.org
Step 2: Go to the link in the top-left corner entitled Downloads (The one with the pixelated floppy disk beside it)
Step 3: I'm guessing it depends on your computer, but I went with the Cave Story Deluxe Package (The one at the bottom of the Download Cave Story section)
Step 4: I went with Download Site #2 from here
Step 5: Go through a bunch of installation stuff

Cave Story is great, with fully interactive 2D levels, a decent story, and lot's of cool little gimmicks with the weapons, levels, and such. A worthy download for anyone who is interested in this sort of thing.
