Good First Person Action shooter. But doesn't leave up to it's predecessors.

User Rating: 7 | Crysis 3 PC

As a fan of the Crysis series, someone who actually pre-ordered the original Crysis before it came out in 2007, Crysis 3 delivers a descent First Person Action shooter experience but doesn't live up to the original Crysis, Crysis Warhead or even Crysis 2. In Crysis 3 you return to New York City which has now literally been transformed into an urban jungle with trees and grass and run down buildings. The Cell corporation has enacted a huge dome over the city. You reunite yourself with your old buddy Psycho and you fight through Cell soldiers along with Seph Aliens until you save the city and ultimately the world from the Alien horde. The story itself is not as great as say the original Crysis. The game play is descent where you fight around various locations through out New York City where everything is grass and tree infested. The game does introduce a new weapon which is a new bow and arrow weapon that makes it easy to take down and a hacking mechanism which allows you to hack weapon systems and times turn it against your enemies instead of having it target you. The levels doesn't have the variety of the original Crysis nor does it have it's wide open world or even the level variety in Crysis 2.

Graphically, it is possibly the best looking game of 2013. Even today, it ranks up there as of one of the best looking and demanding games especially if you plan to play it at 4K. You do needy a PC with one of the higher end cards from say the last couple of years or the mid end cards of this past generation to play this game maxed out and I was able to play it maxed out on a R9 390X with Core i7 6700K overclocked to 4.5 Ghz at 1080P. So, in terms of graphics it leaves up to the Crysis name which is synonymous with outstanding graphics.

The music and score of the game overall is also great.

In summary, Crysis 3 is a descent first person shooter but it is well below the original master piece that was Crysis. The story itself is okay and the graphics are top notch and provides descent entertainment value if you are looking for a descent First Person Shooter.
