A satisfying conclusion to the series

User Rating: 8 | Dishonored: Death of the Outsider PC

Important Note; This is not Dishonored 3. It is a standalone expansion, basically the epilogue to Dishonored 2. Like what Daud DLCs were to Dishonored 1.

The most significant aspect of this game is how it ties up the final loose threads of the series; Who is the Outsider? What happens to Daud and Morgan? These are questions this game answers. It has a great story on its own and offers a solid conclusion to the Dishonored series.

Everything else about the game is…pretty decent. Some of the core mechanics have been removed. There’s no longer a Chaos system, so how you choose to play has very little effect on the game. The power Upgrade system has also been removed, instead you get 3 new powers that are available from the beginning.

The level design is great as always. There are 5 levels, and even though they’re not as diverse as Dishonored 2 levels were, they still offer clever new challenges to keep things fresh. With the new powers you can get really creative with how you choose to advance through these levels.

10 years ago I played Dishonored 1 for the first time, and now I’ve seen how the story ends. This is one of the few instances where a video game series had a solid beginning, middle and an end. I’m so glad I had the chance to experience it. If you’re a Dishonored fan, this is a must-buy. If you’re new, I hope you enjoy this wonderful series as much as I did.
