Doom has always been one of those games you either absolutely loved or totally hated. I personally have always been a fan of the franchise. Ultimate Doom (the original) was the first game I ever had to sneak past my parents to play. Doom II is a wonderful port for XBLA. From the moment I downloaded this I was not disappointed. The game-play, music, and all around feel for the game remain just as they were back in the day. I was in retro heaven. This game was well worth the 800 Microsoft points that I paid for it. Some of the flaws that are present in the version is the complete lack of people on the multiplayer. There is the ability to play multiplayer, but good luck finding anyone to play with. It is a definite bummer, for i would have loved to frag some people old school style. Other than the disappointing multiplayer this game is a keeper. If you loved Doom and Doom II back in the mid 90's but haven't been able to find a place to get your fix? Then this is the game for you! This game definitely warrens an 8.5.
