is this the black sheep everyone says it is or is it something else
Well this was the first real (not 3DO) game I ever played and it's awesome.
graphics - The graphics look very similar to the graphics in the original and it's various counterparts, so there's no true faults there.
music - The music is pretty much just as great and in the hell level (in my opinion) the music is better than the original. Also the sound of that super shotgun is just awesome (and for some reason nostalgic for me)
gameplay - The game is the same, almost no differences other than some differences in the enemies, some new weapons, and (obviously) different levels.
Now here's where the game falls apart. The level design is HORRIBLE. It turns maze like all the time, you just flat out get lost in maybe the 4th level or so. This leads to you running around in a circle looking for a key, an exit, or both.
special charm - IT'S FREAKING DOOM.
final feelings - It might be the worst DOOM game ever made but it's still great. Sure the level design is a little annoying but I say if you're willing to get lost every once in a while than go for it.
Also the first level sucks... hard.
it's super short with almost no enemies, the only real way to make it difficult is to put the game on nightmare but than the other levels (the good levels) are way too hard so just play the game on ultra violent and have fun.
