Not a bad game but it's not being the best it could be either.

User Rating: 8.5 | Fable III X360
I used to think I had hated Fable III however almost a year later I decided to play it again and decided that while it's not my favorite Fable its not all that bad. i just wish it'd had gone better.
The Good(From Best to OK):
1. Pretty and Funny-Fable III is a gorgeous game and thankfully the consequences for your actions (including leveling up your character) don't mar the characters appearance as extremely in previous titles. While the selection for clothes is still pretty small ( I think it may have actually gotten smaller.) they at least allow you to create a cool looking character. Environments are beautiful, and so are the worlds NPC's.
2.The Sanctuary and Road to Rule-Instead of sifting around through TONS of menus all of your weapons,clothes,tattoos and dyes are all sorted into interactive rooms throughout the Sanctuary. You are also allowed to view the worlds map and can purchase property without being their and can also accept quests from there as well. The Road to Rule is impressive because instead of coming across dyes, or expression books which you kinda don't need six bottles of you can just drop a one time buy at the Road and have it forever. Also the Melee,Magic and Range chests affect all skills for the respectable set so instead of having to choose between Accuracy or Damage you get the whole package. However on a stranger side note you cannot train your dog through road to rule and the books available seem limited.
3. Character Interaction- This was pretty cool. Emotions are now put to use through physical interaction with the characters and yours. So now you can shake hands hug and kiss and all that good stuff. This is a great idea but needs work due to mainly you can't choose which one's to use or even give gifts. Also I wish they'd left the Follow option alone. Holding hands with a character is all well and good but it gets kinda weird when you do it with a 30 something year old man during a mercenary escort mission.
Honorable Mentions:
Morality-While watered down at least you won't make your character into a hideous circus freak.
Jasper-Voiced by john Cleese. That is all.
The Bad(From Worst to just Lame):
1.(SPOILER)The 1 consequence that actually occurs is ridiculous and kills any replay value for that character- Once you become king of Albion you will have a choice to keep all your promises and become good or evil. But here's the catch if you don't have the gold, which can range from about 6 million to 8 million if your keeping the promises, EVERYONE will die.Everyone.Period,squared, decked in gold and underlined twice. No vendors,no family, no one except some enemies or if there are any remaining quests. Consequences are Fables thing. Always has been, but with this entry it's kinda watered down to your rule as king and however the ending turns out. And that kills it. Honestly how do you go and kill the one thing that impress fans and (or at least used to) make your series stand out.
2. Weapons upgrades and Combat- Don't get me wrong. The idea of working for and earning an upgrade is a great idea and the weapon evolution in the game is a great and cool idea. But the thing is that it takes away any customization( limited as it was) from previous games. I can't choose if i want a bone handle or a gold one or even my augmentations.What they should have done was allow you to unlock them and let you choose which ones you wanted displayed, giving you a choice in creating your own legendary weapon. Same goes for augmentations. In this entry magic is used through gloves so why not the same for augments? Put that on the next Road to Rule, one chest for Melee and another for Ranged weapons. And on the subject of combat here's my issue with this entree, it's watered down. Selective shots from the previous title is gone and aiming the crosshair without it snapping to an enemy is difficult.
3.Jobs are limited and kinda lame- Assassin and Bounty Hunter are up out the window and so is the Bartender occupation. You won't miss Wood-chopping but Lute Hero and Pie Maker(*groan*) gladly take it's place along side a crippled and bitter Blacksmith.Occupations are now upgradable through the Road to Rule instead of becoming better through playing the minigames which would've been fine save for the fact that **SPOILER ALERT** you needed 8 million gold to ensure your game didn't end on a sour note!!**
Dishonorable Mentions:
Tattoos- The problem is the don't look like tattoos so much as just body paint.
Page(at least during the mission in Reaver's mansion.)- The leader of a revolutionary group who will not shut up about how bad killing and fighting is producing what can only be described as groan inducing quips that will make you toss a controller at the screen.
