The original FF7 was as flawed as it was fun. I played through no less than three times, and never felt as exhausted as I did following the first few hours of the Remake. While I eventually managed to trudge on through the dull walkways and arenas of muddy Midgar to finish this tedious slog of a "game," I only felt a sense of relief: "It's over. It's finally over." No more cringe. No more pointlessly overwrought battles and interminable hallways between predictable nostalgic setpieces and fanboi wank material. Whew. *delete*
For FF fangirls and -boys only. Even then, there are much better options to scratch that JRPG itch. Otherwise, wait for a 75% discount or giveaway. Yeesh.
