I would say:

• Cheese curds with marinara sauce (Ranch is more common with it, IMO. I’ve known many people that like mozzarella sticks with ranch. I think marinara sauce goes awesome with fried cheese.)

• Cheese filled pretzels with marinara sauce

• Chicken nuggets/tenders with honey (Had it from places like Wendy’s and loved it as a kid. Places like McDonald’s and KFC have it.)

• Pizza with pork/breakfast sausage (used to expected it to taste like breakfast sausage, when it was Italian sausage. Always loved ham and bacon with pizza, when I’ve first had it)

• Bratwurst with cheese and pizza/marinara sauce (got me the idea since bratwurst taste kinda similar to breakfast sausage to me, and the idea from a pizza burger and enjoyed it)

• Baby carrots with peanut butter

• Baby carrots with yogurt/fruit dip

• Pancakes/waffles with honey (always wonder what it’d be like with honey before so decide to try it and enjoyed it)

• Vanilla ice cream with white chocolate (as for someone that loves white chocolate, it’s not as common with milk or dark chocolate, IMO, around here)

• Orange flavored milk/white chocolate (not as common here in America, as it is in places like Europe)

• Orange soda floats (Always wondered what it’d be like to mix orange soda with ice cream, since I’ve had a root beer float years ago and enjoyed it)

• Hot chocolate with creamer/flavored syrups (got into hot chocolate when I’ve first tried mint hot chocolate and liked it)

• Coke/Pepsi with lemon/lime (got the idea of trying it that way later on, since Pepsi Twist and Coke Lime discontinued years ago)

All I can think of right now. What food combinations do you guys find to be underrated?

Saltine crackers with peanut butter on them also having a hot chocolate with it. It's the ultimate Winter comfort food.

A1 steak sauce with fried chicken.

@warmblur: Never had peanut butter crackers dipped in hot chocolate. I’ll have to try that. :) I’ve had peanut butter cups in hot chocolate before and loved it.

I actually don't dip them in hot chocolate I drink hot chocolate as a side when I'm eating the crackers with the peanut butter on them it's great.

Coffee with Lay's Classic chips. The bitterness from the coffee really makes the saltiness of the chips stand out. I don't remember how I discovered this, but it's brilliant.

There was a limited run of chili-peanut MandMs years ago. Delicious. I wish they would bring them back, but have started making my own chili and nut chocolate bars until that day comes.

  • Banana and chocolate - a flavour combo in a dessert, for example.
  • Exclusively beans in a burrito - no meat/vegetarian.
  • Pickles on a burger - you gotta have them!

That's all I can think of atm.

I second the chip muffin and crisp sandwich. They're particularly good when extra buttery.

Kind of boring I guess, but pineapple on pizza. Shit is onolicious and highly underrated.

Coffee ice cream and chocolate ice cream.

Cow tongue and A1. 🤪

Hmmmm good question. As for me:

  • Paper-thin lemon slices on top of sashimi. The oilier the fish (mackerel, salmon, etc) the better.
  • Peanut butter and chocolate. Yes I know it's popular, but not popular enough.
  • Chili-mango.
  • Mexicans do this thing where they take a bag of Takis (a type of chip) and mix hot sauce, mayo, gummi bears, cucumber, and all manner of stuff you think doesn't work well together but they dump it into the bag of chips and it tastes amazing. Something about the salty-sweet-spicy-chewy-crunchy just works.
  • Chorizo and eggs. Something about using bits of toasted corn tortillas to scoop up greasy-red piles of eggs laced with chorizo is just one of the best things in the world.

You need to try a California burrito. You seem to like fries/chips.

Basically it's a burrito, but with fries (chips), steak, cheese, sour cream, and guacamole. It's gringo Mexican food at it's worst-best, so so so good.

@mrbojangles25: Burrito and Fries, interesting. But @omegamaster: what is a crisp sandwich. It looks like bread and Lay's potato chips.

Yes, that's correct. It can be any crisps/chips. I used to put pringles on my bread.

It does, but it tastes good. Give it a go. To make things even more strange, we have a culture of putting anything with bread, and that includes the famous noodle sandwich:

Now I can somewhat see that.

This sounds criminal.

OT: Another I forgot to mention is Salchipapas. South American (Colombian) staple. Fries/chips w/ shredded chicken and chopped hot dogs. Covered w/ cheese and served w/ various sauces; pineapple sauce, ketchup based sauce, and a garlic sauce. Delicioso.

I made this years ago and only had it once but it was surprisingly nice.

Chips + curry powder + lemon juice + fish sauce

It was very late and I was hungry. I accidentally knocked over some curry powder over the chips and I realised I did not have ketchup, or salt or vinegar, so I used lemon juice and fish sauce.

Very similar to hoggie. Expect put cheese in it.

Aside from pineapple on pizza which is the devil's rectum I'd say peanut butter and jelly. Jelly ruins what was a decent sandwich.
