A "D" is considered barely passing in college. You can get by but it'll lower your GPA some and also if you decide to transfer to another college in the future, that D may not be accepted by the admitting college. If you want, you can always retake the class and try to improve your grade.

"D" if you don't plan on transferring the credit to another university/college, a "C" if you are wanting to transfer.

at my university the passing grade is C. but I think most colleges have D as their minimum passing grade.

And that is why I'm taking 5-6 years to get a 4 year degree. The stress is so much easier to deal with when you don't overwhelm yourself.

A "D" is considered passing. Though I saw that some requirements call for a C or better. You can go to their website and look under Academics- Policies and Procedures.

D is barely passing in college. You can always retake it though and they'll replace the lower grade with the higher grade. Although if you plan on going to grad school, they'll take the average of the two grades.

Also, 6 classes in your first year is ambitious. No matter how good you were in high school, ie. you took all ap classes, passed all of them, 5.90 GPA, etc., college is different. At least wait until you are in your 2nd year before you drown yourself in coffee. =)

EDIT: I gotta add, some classes require you to get a C or better to advance and sometimes if the class is a core class, C- is not passing.

At my university, a "C" was the minimal passing grade. "C-" and lower were not passing grades. That would include a "D," of course.

Good thing that I got 70% B's, 25% C's, and 5%

Piece of paper, if it was all about the information then I would just buy engineering & math books and take a test. Instead I have to sit through years of meandering bs, trust me when I say that even though I love to read that I hate taking English in college. I write slow, and have an over-active imagination, needless to say the essay's take to damn long. And I've discovered that I write faster when I'm close to the deadline.

Well my Veteran's Affairs consular helps me with all of that, especially since they won't give me a single penny if I don't take the classes I need.

However I suggest you figure out what you want to do, if you can't then I suggest you start on your basics and experiment in the various fields you are interested in. After you are finished sign up for whatever degree plan you want and follow it as much as humanly possible.

It depends on what your major wants. For some classes, a D is passing, while for others you need a C, or sometimes a B.

Yeah, at the community college I go to people can't take General Chemistry II unless they get a "B" in Chem I.
