I don't like wi-fi and often find issues with connectivity and lag.  Can you hook directly to an ethernet cable?

There are no ethernet ports on the Wii. I don't know why, frankly it doesn't make much sense. Maybe space issues? However, if you have a USB-to-Ethernet adapter you're good to go. Just plug it in, set the internet settings for a wired connection, and you're online.

It does not really matter since online play is non-existant and nintendo has said nothing about expecting it anytime soon.  I was just curious.

I was asking why Nintendo didn't just put an ethernet port directly into the Wii. I love my Wii but that's one thing that just confuses me.

So Pokemon Battle Revolution is not an online game that has been out since the middle of December in Japan?

And last time I checked, people want Wifi with the 360 and PS3 as well.

I agree blu-ray sucks.

Who cares about Japan?  I don't live there and dont' benefit from them having online play.  I want online play where I live, not a half a world away.  Xbox Live is king and Nintendo can atleast try to emulate it.

You should work for Nintendo.

Anyways, it's not like there is much to do online, other than buy VC games.

Oh yes so what about that buggy poor quality HD-DVD add on for the 360 that sucks for video quality and DVD playback.

Hardly anyone uses wired networking anymore with wireless getting up to 300 Mbps transfer speeds and they will eventually be faster then Gigabit LAN.

Yeah, the same ones you can get for Free off the internet, and play on your computer or PSP. Yeah, I know. Still, I own every single VC game I payed for so now I have doubles.

I dont' need or care less for wi=fi.  Thats just dillusional NIntendo fanboy talk trying to convince yourself that you didn't get ripped off and pay too much for a machine that could of been made 6 years ago.   I'm playing great games now on my 360 while you guys have zelda and nothing but 3rd party port trash.

Could you be more wrong? If it's like the DS system you can play against anyone, friend codes or not. Do you know how much effort it takes me to play a game on Tetris DS once I log onto Nintendo WiFi? Two button presses. A. A. [QUOTE="Nintendo WiFi"]Searching for competitors... Competitor found!
