It'll be interesting to see how they deal with different control setups. I'd imagine they will have a controller only option.

Anyway not my cuppa. Don't have much interest in online gaming.

Like it's been mentioned before the first game was cool, being the overhead view. Be interesting to see how this turns out, had a lot of fun playing coop!

OK all done with caps lol sorry I just love to see major titles being crossplay from the start. Too many "patch in later" attempts or none at all.

Looking forward to this game; sort of missed the boat on Helldivers 1 (though I did love it), and a wee bit leery about the switch to third-person...but I think it can be fun.

Oh and anyone looking for a "future soldier vs bug" type of game while you wait for Helldivers 2 should check out either Rift Breaker (awesome twin-stick tower-defense base-building game with hords of bugs) or the early-access release of Starship Troopers: Extermination.

Cross purchase is what we should be pushing for. Buy once play anywhere the game is available with your account.

That would be amazing, but with "cross saving" being a "feature" (that is, trying to incentivize owning multiple copies across multiple platforms) I don't see the industry going that direction any time soon.

I'll never forget the first time I saw that marketed, my thought was "They're joking, right?" It was like the Anakin and Padme meme.

Why in gods name did they change this to a third person shooter? I loved the first one was couch co-op. This is a L Sony.

Its infuriating to see some $5 games have crossplay but not my fromsoft titles. Like Jesus Christ can they please wake up and add what's needed in every multiplayer game?

Neat. Only negative with crossplay is that most console users play on wi-fi.

Helldivers 1 was one of the best coop shmup I have ever played but its really unfortunate I have to skip sequel peak month due to the sequel releasing in Feb. Feb to March we having so many JRPG releases and I already pre ordered 5 games (ToCS 3+4, Unicorn Overlord, FF7Rebirth, Eiyuddin Chronicles & Granblue) Idk where I can slot this game.
