It is obvious that Team Ninja titles are not designed to be easy to play for everyone, he said, but we wanted to make this title more accessible to a wide range of players. We have developed three distinct difficulty modes that players can choose based on their preferences. The first is’ for storytelling-oriented players, who want to live the story and play without much difficulty. Then we have an intermediate mode for players used to this kind of experience. Finally, we have a more challenging mode that fits more closely with our previous games and meets the needs of hardcore players and Souls-like fans.

I definitely don’t mind difficulty options myself so I’m certainly fine with this. Currently have my eye on this game and am hoping that it turns out well.

So not only do they casualize the combat system since wo long, there's also baby mode. lol team ninja

Day 1 on the hardest starting difficulty. Why? I don't know, I just like to play through games the first time by jumping directly into the fire. Personally, I like when games give difficulty settings since the default in most games is a little too casual and the AI seems completely useless.

I think this is good.

Obviously there is appeal in making brutally hard games, but those tend to be more niche. There's broader appeal however in making things scale to a variety of consumers.

It's one of the nice things about Jedi Survivor; a filthy casual like myself can enjoy a soulslike-lite experience while others can dial up the difficulty and have something a little more punishing.

Fromsoft better not take this shit example and include difficulties.

That is great. I am buying Ronin over DD2 so its definitely a welcomed news it has options for Nioh level challenge. I feel nioh is best played when you could cheese the heck out of the game. idk there something oddly enjoyable about destroying these fast and hard hitting enemies with the stupidiest cheese.
