Silent Hill 2 Remake gets ESRB rating!

Welp, no surprise there. Thoughts, SW? Are you excited for the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake? I love the original game, it’s one of my all time favorites. Though I’m not terribly excited that Bloober is developing it, I can’t imagine they’d screw it up that bad.

Bro this better be one of the good running UE 5 games because we already have plenty of UE 5 games that run about as fast as a turtle with arthritis.

If the gameplay trailer is anything to go by, i wish this was an Xbox exclusive. I want @sealionact to enjoy this game deeply on his 72" 4k tv.

The original game wasn’t really known for its combat. It was known for the story and the creepiness.

aka atmosphere, and what's shown had none of it. what we got is a welfare resident evil.

Is 17 the age rating or the critic scores? Lol. Sorry, I just have no faith in Bloober Team.

Anyway, reviews then sale bin if decent. I'd rather have Silent Hill 3 on Steam, though; I played that on a friend's PS2 but never completed it. I consider one of my "unfinished businesses."

Have very little faith that this will turn out good.

I'm excited. Could never get into the original due to never playing it when it was more relevant and feels too dated to jump back into now. And I'm a Bloober fan, though this seems perhaps too ambitious for them as they've never really tackled combat in their earlier games. Their history is mostly story driven walking sims.

Still, hoping for the best. I expect most people to hold the original up too highly to the point the remake will be nitpicking to death. I'd love to be wrong about that though.

I have a feeling the over the over shoulder camera angle will make the game less scary.

Might be good for SH standards though. I'd rather play a crap version of SH2 than the later ones.
