TMNT Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants announced for consoles and PC

For those a fan of TMNT: Turtles in Time, Raw Thrills (founded by Eugene Jarvis) is bringing us an arcade-to-console port... seven years after release, but still.

Modelled after the 2012 series.

I remember playing this at a Round 1 Arcade, it was pretty fun. Will pick this up when it releases

Not big on the art direction.

Guess SOR4 just makes everything look bad.

Streets of Rage 4's art is alright. It's a shame the old games are objectively ugly.

Art looks like the era of tmnt I wasn't really a part of, but since reading the last ronin and playing shredders revenge I'm kind of back to being a nerd of the franchise .. I'm always uo for a well playing tmnt game!

Was watching TMNT. Finished season 2 a few months ago, but keep neglecting to rip the next few DVDs. Why am I not that into it? Partly because of this:

What is he TALKING about? They NEVER use violence. Which is the problem. Their weapons are decorative, used only to manipulate objects in the environments. It's weird how Batman was allowed to punch and kick baddies in the face on Saturday mornings but as soon as weapons were used parents lost their minds.

Dude... You're not the target demographic of a children's TV show... They're not gonna cut heads off on a Saturday morning cartoon... You must've known this going into the first two seasons.

How is it?

I forgot how much the turtles meant to me childhood until I started reading ronin. I was like, "why have I been ignoring the turtles for the past couple decades? They continue to be awesome.

I wish it was pixel art. The art in this game doesn't look good to me. Hopefully the gameplay is fun.

If you pay attention to the Batman animated series, whenever someone gets hit it's usually off screen or there is a big flash that prevents you from seeing anything connecting. Or Batman hits an object which then falls on the enemy, but doesn't hit them directly.

Eww, how's they go from Shredder's Revenge to this?

Going back and rewarching that trailer.... Yep, you're right. It looks and sounds like a budget title through and through.

It looks terrible tbh.

Especially on the heels of shredders revenge which was pure joy.

@TheEroica: Haven't had time yet to watch. Though I myself got back into TMNT after picking up the crossover comics with MMPR, which has a great first volume.

I actually live near the apartment Kevin Eastman and Peter laird worked on the original turtles run... They still keep hand drawn images of the turtles in the front window of the apartment.

TMNT deserves better.

Shredder's Revenge was such a nice love letter ... i got hyped when i saw there was a new game, but after watching the trailer, everything was a huge disappointment. From the arty style, to the sound, to the overall look of the game, for some reason it looks ... cheap. Huge letdown.
