WWE 2k24 - 8/10 GS, 82 MC!

Who else is pumped for the new WWE? I enjoyed last year’s and have this one preordered!

John Cena appeared in two games this week, pretty jealous of him.

The series has been on a upwards turn since 2k22. The year out was needed to start again after 2k20.

Probably wait for a sale, I want to get the Deluxe Edition for $40. I got WWE 2K23 last year for $40 and it came with all the DLC.

Him being in MK1? I'm playing Peacemaker and he's really funny being the edgy lord for the 12yr olds😅

That torpedo is ultra spammable and he jumps up to let his eagle pass through underneath. I was such a huge fan of the Peacemaker TV Show, so this here is a nice representation.

Also at the start of the fight he plays some air guitar and at the end he does his air trust move.

They had me at fireballs. But I don't get why they only showed men lowering straps.

Cool. I haven’t bought a wrestling game in ages. Am kind of getting the itch to do so. This may be the one I get.

I'll wait on a sale for the ps5 version I got the deluxe edition of 2k23 with all the DLC for half the price.

@R4gn4r0k: His Torpedo & up teleportation are very spammy, I gotta say, he's more fun to play than Omni-Man. I'm still waiting for Homelander though. Plus, his fatality is pretty hilarious.

Does it have a true career mode? My gripe with 2k23 was the career mode options weren't as good as the previous year where you got drafted into one of the shows after going through their training center. Coming in as an established wrestler or the grandchild of a legend just wasn't as good.

When I play MK1 I check out quick fatalities, and then I wait for the moment it says "finish him"

But then I do the move list that's required and nothing happens.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong not being able to pull off any fatalities? Is it distance from the target, speed of input?

I love wrestling games. No Mercy is the GOAT, but I played it last year, and it’s definitely aged. WWE 2k23 was pretty good for what it is.

Haven't played since 2k14 so it's been ten years for me. Still can't pickup atm though, busy with FF7 rebirth then DD and Ronin are coming out

WCW vs NWO Revenge and WWF No Mercy on the 64 are the best wrestling games.

Since then, I've played Smackdown vs Raw 2008 and a bunch of Indies ones like Rertomania Wrestling. I haven't touched a mainstream one since 08, and that won't be changing anytime soon.

And the GS score is in: 8/10!

My first wrestling game was wcw/nwo Vs the world on ps1. Then moved on n64 with revenge and no mercy I'll pick up 2k24 when it's on sale.
