Genshin impact is an action RPG that allows you to roam and explore in an open world. It offers stunning graphics, attractive characters design, and a rich, engaging storyline to follow along. In this game, you'll play as a traveler from another world, traversing in a foreign land called Teyvat, trying to find their sibling. Across the seven nations they go, who knows what awaits at the end of the journey? Would it be their sibling, or would they find out something more?
With active development, new features and events are constantly rolled out, keeping the experience fresh and entertaining. Character designs, inspired by anime, keep getting better and better. It is also cross-platform, letting you play on any device you want (as long as the performance and storage allow). Now that I mention it, this game takes up a lot of memory space and requires a somewhat powerful device as a tradeoff for its outstanding visuals. Another point is that, even though it is free to play, with the gacha system, you might have to pay for the character you want. But, it is not necessary. You can pave your way through this game as a free-to-play, though it might take some more time and dedication. This game's gacha rate is also decent compared to other gacha games. There's also a guarantee for the gacha, and the event banners are constantly rerun as well. So, you have a chance to get a character you want eventually. You can also play in co-op mode with your friends.
Someone closed recommended this game to me. I wasn't particularly interested at first because I didn't expect much of it. The first time I decided to try it, the mechanics were confusing. The map was enormous for a free game, so it was hard to navigate around. But after I got used to it, the game became very addicting. I was drawn in by the visual and lore. I love the details and thoughts that went into the characters and world designs. Everything seems so polished and well-thought-out. It feels like I'm reading a novel when I'm playing the story quests. Even though there're some plot holes here and there, it is enjoyable overall. The mechanics and puzzle are fun and challenging once you understand how it works. I personally prefer the controls on PC because it is easier. Playing on the phone is still hard for some characters' playing styles.
I've been playing this game for around a year now, and it never fails to excite me. New maps and events are constantly released, and there are always updates and live streams. There are active communities across multiple countries. So, it's rather difficult for me to get bored of genshin.
If you have free time and don't know what to do, enjoy visuals and stories, and are interested in action RPG games, I couldn't recommend this game enough! Especially if you enjoyed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, this game takes inspiration after it, with various unique new mechanics added that will keep you entertained.
