god of war still retains all the fun that made the consoles games so great. Editors choice.
The bad:difficulty can be overblown. you never fight any giant bosses. starts to get repititive near the end.
God of war chains of olympus isnt the perfect transisition to the PSP, but its pretty close .
chains of olympus is a prequel to god of war and shows how kratos does alot for the gods, but gets nothing in return. like the previous games, the story is well done and written (you will get a good idea of the story if you played the demo.)though its short. (god of war:14 hours or more.god of war 2 :16 hours or more.this one:6 hours.)
The graphics are probally the best graphics youll see on the psp, and though most of the time, the game suffers fromslowdown, it makes the combat that much better.
the games combat system is the same system from god of war 2, and makes a perfect transistionto the psp. the only problem is the game seemsto push the difficulty to far sometimes.near the end of the game, youve just survived a pack of enemies, and your health is low. you run into the next room which is filled with madusa heads and a huge handfull of enemies. but you cant even revive your health, they expect you to beat the room with the health you got.
Plus the game has the tendency to be repititive near the end.
Despite these problems, god of war chains of olympus is what you want for a god of war game on the psp. and for 20 bucks this will probally be one of the best psp games out there.
