Well, not exactly. It was a commercial release (albeit at a cheaper price than mainstream games) based on the mechanics of GT 3 featuring a lot of concept and dream cars plus a few returning vehicles. Unfortunately, due to the games size it can feel like you are playing a demo as this is drastically cut down from GT 3. With considerably fewer cars and tracks it will not take you very long to see all it has to offer. It does have a few compatibility features with GT 3 however. Such as the unlocking of ten million credits (GT Concept does not have a buy/sell feature itself) that can be brought over to your GT 3 game save and spent on cars for your garage in that game and you can also attempt GT Concepts licences (not needed to race any of GT Concepts races) and once completed transfer these over to unlock the licences in GT 3. It's a nice twist but not exactly worth the purchase. It is a very polished game as you would expect from any GT game and all the pros and cons of car handling, graphics and sound from GT 3 apply here as well. It's just that the only reason to play is to see some of the fabulous concept cars in action.
