The Grand Theft Auto Collector's Edition ( It's name in the UK) contains three games: Grand Theft Auto, GTA: Mission Pack 1: London 1969 and GTA 2. This compilation is very good value with an RRP of £14.99. Grand Theft Auto In this game you choose a character from one of four and you must complete missions. These involve stealing cars and delivering them to docks and killing people. If you don't want to do the missions you can roam around doing whatever you want, but if you kill people the police will attempt to arrest or kill you. You start in Liberty City and if you complete the two sections of missions you can unlock the next city. There are three cities: Liberty City, San Andreas and Vice City, each city has two sections of missions. To save the game you quit and then save. The only problem with the game is that if you quit before completing every mission in a section you have to do the whole section again. There is a wide variety of cars and to get weapons you smash crates that are in various locations around each city. Overall this is the best game available on the Playstation. GTA: Mission Pack 1: London 1969 In this game you choose a character from one of four and you must complete missions. There is only one city: London but there are six sections of missions. These suffer from the same problem as those in the original: if you quit before completing every mission in a section youm have to do the whole section again. You save in the same way as in the original. Weapons are again found in crates and you can do whatever you want. The graphics haven't been improved but that doesn't detract from the gameplay in any way. Overall this is the second best game available on the Playstation. GTA 2 In this game there is only one city, but it has three districts. The graphics haven't been improved and this doesn't detract from the gameplay. The main problem with this game is that to save you must go to the savepoint, this is okay, but you must have just done a mission and have at least $50,000. To get missions you go to areas owned by different gangs, but you must have enough respect. If you kill a loonie other gangs will respect you more, but the loonies will respect you less. Weapons are found lying around the city or by killing gang members. This game would be great if it wasn't for the save problem. Overall a good game spoilt by one major problem. Overall this compilation is an essential purchase for any Playstation or Playstation 2 owner.
