Journey to the Savage Planet is something that is different. Combat is secondary to exploration and discovering new locations, items, upgrades and a whole bunch of weird creatures. Your ship is broken on this planet that you know nothing about, your job.. fix your ship and get out. What sounds pretty simple turns into an epic journey through this planet where you find all types of unique enemies and locales. You have a pistol, a visor which acts as a scanner and a double jump mechanism that you can upgrade at your disposal. The level design is beautiful, taking it all in is part of the journey. Huge waterfalls, lava spouting in the atmosphere and weird flying creatures, bird animals and much more await you. Secrets and mysteries are around every corner. The game has an uplifting feel to it, it never takes itself to seriously and that is a plus. For a game that is only $30.00 without a discount, it is worth every penny.
