A game that's just as fun as an mario game, that just seems to be a little short.

Luigi's Mansion was a release title for the Nintendo Gamecube, that shows off what the Gamecube could do, graphically speaking. This game seems to be more of a tech demo, but it still comes off as one extremely fun and immersive game, that seems too short.

The gameplay is what gets you to play this game. You pick it up, and your into the game. You star as Luigi, trying to save Mario from a haunted mansion in which you won as a prize. you end meeting a professor E. Gadd, who gives you a device called a poltergeist 3000, which lets you suck up ghosts. Throughout the game, you must find keys which lead to many different rooms. Almost every room has ghost inside in which you must figure out how to beat through different puzzles. For example, you must open a curtain and let a draft in to capture one ghost. This game really hits the gameplay right on.

The graphics are really sound tight. Especially when it comes to the character models. The way luigi looks is amazing. Even a lot of room textures look really nice. The lighting is really nice, like when lightning strikes, or when your on a patio with hardly on lights. The graphics really helps this become a solid game.

The sound is what you would expect from Nintendo game. Catchy tunes, that you will hum along with during the game. Te sound effects are also really spot on, from when your sucking up ghosts, or when luigi calls to mario, this game really hits the sound element as well.

The value of the game is what really kills the experience. Just when you really get into the game and you want to play it more, it ends. The game is way too short for it be a AAA. With only about 4-6 hours of gameplay, you can easily beat this game in one sitting. After you beat it, they do offer you a secret mansion, but besides from that, there's nothing really else to do.

Luigi's Mansion seems like a great place for Nintendo to start off from when creating games that star Luigi. They seem to put a lot of detail into the gameplay and graphics, but the game is just too short. I would really like to see a sequel to this game for the rev, which could use the controller and some interesting and unique ways. I suggest you rent and beat luigi's mansion, you won't regret it.
