Playing this game made purchasing the PSP worth it!

User Rating: 10 | Lumines: Oto to Hikari no Denshoku Puzzle PSP
Lumines is the second game so far which I have granted a perfect 10, it really is a combination of gameplay, graphics, sound, value and a personal experience with the game that makes it worthy of a perfect score. A lot of the times reviewers rate a game within a few hours of playing it, or after going through it once, but to have the time to really play and enjoy a game fully, is an advantage only we, the players, have.

This was the first game I picked up for the PSP; boy was it worth every penny. From the start you get hit by a combination of simple graphics and light that goes along with an addictive collection of music. I did use the term simple, referring to the graphics, but its presentation is so well done that when combined with the light effects and the music rythms it blows your mind and really lets you grab the feel of the game.

Any one can think the gamplay experience you get from Lumines is more or less along the lines of everything else that has come before it. This might be true, but combined with everything else I’ve said before you are in for a truly unique experience. When you start getting the feel of the music combined with the quick movements you make, it starts to feel natural. Is single player campaign can have you hooked anywhere you go, when you start ranking up the score, you can easily switch to a multiplayer game or a vs. cpu game. As itf that weren’t enough there is also a puzzle mode.

Lumines is the complete package, sound graphics and gameplay come together to give you an exhilarating experience. So far I have yet to accomplish a few of the goodies Lumines comes with, but certainly the best part is enjoying this game with friends and family. To this day my wife kicks my behind in Lumines, when a game allows me to enjoy things like this, it really surpasses a simple video game experience.
