All this years madden has is just updates to ultimate team, and they tweaked the gameplay so that the cpu eventually and magically stops everything. It no longer makes sense to have any offensive schemes or to even try and read the cpu's defense. You can call plays that overload the defense's zone coverage and somehow a defender runs at mach speed to get there to either swat it or pick it off. The only way you can call this a football game is if you drastically adjust the sliders, and even then players glitch out and become clunky especially during a run play. A lot of the animations are predetermined like when your running the ball and your about a foot away from a defender and a tackle animation begins. Madden 19 is a huge step down from 18. So if you have not bought it yet, don't waste your money. The graphics are the same, the gameplay announcing is the same, most of the playbooks are the same, the only difference with the playbooks is they took some formations out of certain ones. Just picture Madden 18 with no pass protection and the defense has 100 speed and the offense has like 60, and a Defensive Lineman picking of passes and breaking tackles. If you can imagine those things, then you see what Madden 19 is.
PS>> To all that defends Madden, answer this: If madden was about ratings or even player skill, then how come they can release a patch that determines how difficult it is to run the ball?
