True to that cartoon series and perfect for kids. Ideal gameplay for children, even if not for reviewers.

If you are an adult who got into Marvel reading comics then you should probably look at Marvel Ultimate Alliance or MUA2 instead and read the industry reviews.
If, on the other hand, you are buying for your kids and want a G-rated game that is a lot of fun then this game is perfect and the reviews are pointless. There is enough running around and fighting minions and boss fights to make it familiar for those who have played TMT or Ben 10 themed games but with a Marvel feel. The view is the long range view necessitated by a 2-4 player format (2 for Story mode, 4 for Battle mode) but the AI camera does zoom in to show detail. The much maligned camera system is AI only, but behaves pretty much the same as when controlled by a child in other games. My 5yo has been playing regularly and has never complained about the camera, gameplay or any aspect other than difficulty. Difficulty is one of the strong features of the game. Only 2 levels with Easy being not-that-easy and Normal harder than many other similar games, including the MUA duo.
From watching my child play, and helping him the 'hard bits' I can totally recommend this game for any child that enjoys action games and any parent looking for one with G-rated violence and doesn't mind dropping in and out casually when requested.
