One step forward, and two steps back.

compared to the other games in the series, this one is lacking and here is why.

Fighting Styles.

In this MK game we get more characters, but does it come at a price? Yes, this game may have 60 fighters but this also means recycled fighting styles and less styles per character a big let down.

Fatalities.

One of my biggest complains, fatalities are now replaced with a create your finisher type system that gets old quick and really makes the fighters feel bland and similar. Now, what I would have been okay with is if they took this idea and added to the created fighter mode, instead every fighter does the same thing will small variations.

Endings.

I'm not gonna spoil anything and make it short, but the endings are lame compared to the last few games instead of illustration or cut scenes you get text while your fighter dances around.

Konquest Mode.

Compared to Deception this mode is pretty boring, gameplay is horrible...
If you played Shaolin Monks just picture that but somebody took the game and made a horrible rip-off of it.

In Deception it was more a RPG type mode that gave you a sense of adventure, this one had none of that it felt like a bad arcade game a complete step backwards and my top let down in this game.

All and all MK Armageddon is a okay game, but in my opinion the best 3D MK game is Deception. If your a fan, already played Deception, Deadly Alliance, ect. give it a try...If not I would grab Deception instead.
