Ninja Storm 2. Was it really worth the 60$ bucks?

User Rating: 8 | Naruto Shippuden: Narutimate Storm 2 PS3
CyberConnect 2 is often known for making the Ultimate Ninja series for Naruto. Once they made the move from that to Storm, many were skeptical but in other ways happy, until they realized that Storm 1 was a gem but had no online. They gave that chance for Storm 2, however was it worth it?

Storm 2 offers a vast amount of characters from the Naruto Shippuden Series, including Hidan, Sage Mode Naruto, Pain, Taka Sasuke, The 4th Hokage, and etc. Many whom are fan-favorites among the Naruto fandom. The original music in the game is always great, and keeps the mood going.

This game offers more boss battles, like Sasuke VS Itachi, Naruto VS Pain, and Sakura VS Sasori (These are not all of them). The overall gameplay remains the same with just major changes to the support characters-attribute. Supports can now take a hit from an ultimate attack, guard for you, attack for you, throw shurikens with you and make your "team" feel like a real team.

Character combos have gotten way more flashier than the first one although overall appeal with graphics might seem a little toned down to the user. Boss battles keep you involved in the pace of the story and envelopes you in the Anime from another standpoint, which is always a plus.

There are 42 unique characters in this game (Two in which are forms of Naruto & Sasuke) The 42nd person is a guest from Tekken 6, Lars Alexandresson.

Online mode is new in this game, and it overall takes the cake for most users but it can anger at times as well. Mostly some people are spammers and ruin the fun for the "real" players. That can put a downer on your day, but free battle could make it a little better. Anyways, this game had a lot of potential but it didn't live up to it. All of it I should say, it has its good and great points, but lacks customization, clashes, awakening ougis, and wall fighting (Ala Storm 1).

All in all, if your looking for a great Naruto game to give you a sort of Naruto Accel 2 feel but just with Shippuden characters, this is your game. Rent it first then buy it, but it's truly a great, great game.
