Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit

I got this on sale on steam for 6 dollars. I already had it on PS3, but graphics are better on PC, and it runs super smooth on my machine, as of 7-11-13.

It is a very good, fun game, but some of the problems are standing out more as I play through again.

I absolutely hate when a game purposely pauses your gameplay to show cut scenes. They do that here, when a police car is off to the side, or a helicopter is dropping a spike strip. Terrible choice for a race game, and disturbs your rhythm. Just irritating. I wish you could turn that off.

Also, you get "weapons" to help evade or assault, but such are limited to certain races, which makes it feel tacked on, and more like a gimmick.

Also, they will sometimes give to a list of cars that you can cycle through only to find out they are not available in that race. Why show cars you cannot drive?

Those issues aside, it is still fun and worth playing.
