Shader effects not working, No AA on ATI cards, and only scripted events, no action in free roam. Disappointing.

User Rating: 5 | Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit PC
Gameplay:

I like the freedom of Burnout: Paradise, combining that with the licensed cars of NFS and add pursuit action on top and it would be a like a dream come true. Unfortunately, what we are left with is a a huge map that offers no challenges when free roaming (you can't even start events by driving to them) and a Crown Victoria that handles like a Porsche. People have commented on steering wheel support but that seems like overkill since the driving engine is so basic (no manual transmission) using a steering wheel would be like using a x52pro joystick with a scrolling shooting game.

Graphics:

This is the biggest disappointment and hopefully it can be patched, soon. The shaders are not working in the game. There is slight motion blur, but the police lights have no effects, you can hear the rain on the road but not see it, and the environment looks bland. Worst of all there is no AA support in the game. NVidia users have been able to force it on for cars but so far ATI users are left with 1990 style jaggies. I think this game would better on the iPhone then the PC.

The only up side is that my 4 year old likes to drive around in free roam. He is completely capable because of lack of anything to actually do it free roam mode.
