Best racing simulation game ever!! A benchmark for any simulation games out their. Great graphics and excellent gameplay

User Rating: 9 | Need for Speed: Shift PS3
Need For Speed Shift is the best racing simulation game released by EA in their history. The use of nVIDIA PhysX engine lets the user feel every bump, every hit, and the G-Force effecting the driver inside the car. EA has introduced the cockpit view for the first time in NFS since NFS Hot pursuit 2. Every switch, every button, and even the dials on the dash boards have been 3D rendered, making it the most detailed cockpit view ever. In addition, with the Ferrari DLC pack for the Xbox 360 console, the Ferrari's returned to the NFS series after a 9-year-absence. An Exotic Racing Series DLC was released to the PS3 (also to the Xbox 360).

Making the game 'street legal' wasn't something a die-hard fan like me was expecting. I thought it would be the same just like NFS Pro Street, but after giving it a go, I saw that EA had really succeeded in making a 'real' video game.

On the other hand, there isn't any split screen multiplayer in Shift, so it kinda makes the game boring to play as you don't have any friends to play along with. As the Ferrari DLC was only exclusive to the Xbox 360, it was very disappointing that it wasn't for the PS3 or PC, but the Exotic Cars Pack for the PS3 featured some very cool cars like the Mercedes Benz Stirling Moss, McLaren MP4-12C, Maserati GranTurismo S and the Honda NSX.

Overall, the game has great physics and tops it off with realistic graphics. In my view, Slightly Mad Studios made NFS Shift a benchmark for any racing simulation game in production.
