It's Mario... again, but still fun!

Super Mario World was the last time I really played a Mario game from start to end, I played a little bit of the 64 version and pretty much jumped to this mario, but I do follow the franchise and have seen very similar versions of fhis New Super Mario.

It's conforting to see that the same classic music still active and well tuned to this new 2D mario, and the gameplay is pretty much the same, with additional costumes and mechanisms but that feel very familiar to old players like myself. It's a good introduction to the Wii U console and it's a pretty game, but at the end it felt a little short on lenght and expectations.

I played pretty much the whole game staring at the Wii U's gamepad, having the same game playing on the TV was quite distracting to me, It felt more natural to play this game like a handheald. It's quite worrisome that Mario is pretty much the same game, with the same plot, for the past 30 years. No matter what version you get, it's prettty much a similar experience when you get to them. If you're a fan of Mario or just want to get a good game for the Wii U this game will fill the need for some plumber fighting a lizard.
