NHL Hitz is one game where there are no rules and no mercy. You can even check your opponents through the glass. You will see a lot of helmets on the floor while playing. What I didn't like about the checking was the spinning move. For some reason, twirling in a circle makes you invulnerable. I also didn't like the poke-checking. When you have breakaways in this game, you can easily stop it by diving behind the guy and the guy with the puck loses it.
In this game, you can play little mini-games to try to improve your skills and checking. This is a very smart idea because some of the other NHL games I play do not have this feature. There are even levels of difficulty to help your game.
The other feature in this game is the shop to buy throwback jerseys, teams, different types of heads, and different arenas. I like this feature because of the throwback jerseys. You can also create your own team and create your own characters. You can improve your team by facing other teams in franchise mode, which is also a cool feature.
After your game, you can answer some good trivia questions that can help you get more cash for the shop. It can also help you in your hockey knowledge. Overall, this game is worth checking out and worth buying.
