Yoko Taro's masterpiece!

User Rating: 10 | NIER PS3

This game is AWESOME! I've never seen such an incredible history be told with so much attention to detail. The soundtrack is just perfect. A true masterpiece to hold in your music collection. They invented a new language for the soundtrack by combining multiple real world languages to deliver a true work of art. The result, well, you should enjoy it yourself. Yoko Taro explores the fragility of mankind, and the love of a father and his relentless search for a cure for his daughter illness. It's such a beautiful story, with so many memorable characters. I remember leaving the PS3 on just to listen Devola sing the Song of Ancients. Some may say that the graphics are kinda outdated, but it makes absolutely no difference in the experience, as clearly the developers spent more time refining the gameplay and the storytelling to deliver an experience to be cherished. There are many forms to present art, some may paint, some may build a sculpture, a symphony, well, this time it's a game. I actually played this after Nier: Automata, but nevertheless, this is a instantaneously favorite. If you love music, dramatic tales, and an exploration into the philosophic human side, don't miss this work of art.
