Post V.42. AKA the patch that finally drove people away

User Rating: 3 | Paragon (Open Beta) PC

Paragon, I've had a long relationship with you. Sometimes I hated you but most of the time, I had some of the best moments I've ever had playing games. Then V.42 happened.

Let's break it down to how blatantly sh***y the game is after this patch.

Towers Aka. Google Cardboard

The quick answer to what they did, they buffed everyone's health across the board and by late game, an average Champ has about 2.5-3.5k health. A tower shot hits for about 25, so guess what that means, 10+ tower shots to kill ANYONE. Welcome to health and CC meta.

Strategy or lack thereof

Towers being covered previously as being completely and utterly useless guess what that effects. You guessed it. Strategy, the developers threw that out the window with this patch. It's no longer a moba but a glorified TDM, no objective actually means much and often a match is decided within the first 10 mins because that's just how snowbally the game is.

Piss Poor Balance

Hero balance is okish, you still have god picks like all mobas only difference is, you know, THE TINY HERO POOL OF 37 CHAMPS. Which over half of which are almost never played. I cannot stress enough, this game will not last if they don't change the person who is head of balancing.

The Card *Hork* *Cough* system

This is bad, like what. were. you. thinking. Directly correlated to the above group. I didn't think It was possible to ruin Paragon as bad as you did. But you did by vomiting this load of ... forget it, not worth even bashing it even more. So I hear you want diversity. Then don't play this game, every build will be the same for the foreseeable future.

All and all graphically the game looks stunning but the gameplay just sickens anyone who wants a competitive experience.

I honestly would give this game a good review post V.42 but now, it's dying and it really truly does sadden me to see it go.
