PES 2011 has the right formula but some wrong variables.

PES 2011, the 11th game of the series comes to PC this time providing new gameplay system, graphics near the reality and AI improved. At first the game seems to be just an implemented version of the previous PES 2010 version but soon enough you start to feel the changes. The game still lacks in regards of official licensed stuff. Konami still can't afford to show some European clubs and National teams' original uniforms and logos which really counts when talking about realism. In the other hand, this year the American competition Libertadores is present with complete license for all the teams participants in this year's edition of the play. The gameplay got some improvements, given much attention to visual Konami forgot to fix some broken control movements present in the previous version of the game, sometimes your player just seems he won't do what you want, the cursor is not intelligent enough to automatically change to the player near the ball, sometimes even if the ball is touching that player's feet the player just leaves the ball where it is and keeps walking forward, even trying to change the cursor to that certain player in the climax of the game might be difficult and really annoying. The training feature doesn't provide any kind of tutorial to teach us some of the new faints and movements. In the overall the game is beautiful, the manual passing system is really useful rather then the automated previous system which you couldn't pass precisely where you wanted, now, you have this freedom to perform more technical tricks and shoots, but you really have to practice it, even playing the game for a few hours is not enough to master the manual passing and shotting system, I'll still find yourself shotting way wide what really gets you upset. The graphics is good and provide a really good near-reality facial view of the players, the player's skills really represents what they are and how they play, even though sometimes no matter what player you play with, it just seems the opponent is faster and stronger no matter what. Technically PES 2011 is a good game and can provide some time of fun and joy but also some time of frustration when things just wont go the right way, KONAMI still needs to fix many problems presents in the last version of the game, at least, they seems to be going the right way, still it may take a while to get the game back to perfection.
