Well, Pyre is unique game, that's true. it combines brilliantly RPG elements with sport genre. you have to defeat your opponents in a 3 vs 3 match and match roles and controls are just like sport games such as soccer and basketball so if you are looking for a classic RPG, stay away from this one! you have a bunch of different characters and everyone has different style and abilities, so you can choose between them and arrange your team before each match. the matches are really fun, at least for first hours, but the problem is the game doesn't really have anything else to offer and it's not enough to call a game masterpiece or even great. overall, pyre is a good and different experience that I can easily recommend it, but don't expect too much!
