Amazing Combat,lot of weapons,multitude of vehicles,kick-ass enemies,and pretty difficult levels are all present in RF-G
The game has got a lot of weapons(yet you can have any 3 at a time + hammer which is mandatory and perhaps the best one),each having it's own specialty ,and further can be improved using salvage!!!!!!
And vehicles,man,every settlement(6 in total) has a couple of it's unique cars in addition to other common ones-there's aren't no 2 wheelers though,,but still the armored cars really drive you crazy,when u r on a rampage.... + there's robots(manual) that can prove 2 b a pain in the a** of your enemies!!!!!
The open world is the essence of this game in the series.Unlike the previous RF's that restricted the player movement(mission based),in this one,u can wander anywhere and do plenty of side missions(some of which are more difficult than the main mission)!!!!
However,this game lacks-a strong story and characters(only 3-4,if we leave protagonist's brother who dies in the very 1st sequence).Of course,there's a story,but it's presentation is very poor,and quite predictable,until the end,where a climax awaits,and characters aren't strong enough to arouse any feelings for them!!!!
But overall,it's a pretty decent game and if u love "Hit and Run" in a game,u'll surely enjoy this!!!!
Synopsis-U start as Mason ____,who's a demolition expert and travels to mars to start a new life with the help of your brother(who's a local).Mars is currently ruled by EDF(the ones that helped Red Faction take it over years ago,as described in the previous games),who have turned hostile to the locals and do what they considered right.Red Faction is again coming back to life,and u become it's member against your will when your brother is killed by EDF(on the suspicion of being Red Faction supporter-it's correct though) and you handed a criminal status.Now u must help Red Faction gain back mars settlements(Parker,Badlands,Dust,Oasis,Eos) and avenge your brother's death!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
