One feels like a demolition man. I loved the hammer.

I did play many of games of this type before. I wasn't a fan of GTA and other games of the same genre, but this one really got me and I felt really good destroying all the EDF possessed. You are the liberator of people and you can easily get sympathetic with the character you play, Mason. There are many different tasks you're given as a Red Faction adherent and while playing you get enthralled by them. These tasks are different: to destroy buildings, to get a vehicle to a safe hour or to bombard a EDF emplacement. It's not a shooter literally, it's like a RPG on Mars. Basically what you have to do is to liberate Mars zone after zone till the final battle. One needs not complete all the tasks in order to progress, but for each zone a number of tasks must be accomplished. The most satisfying this I've met in this game is the usage of the hammer. You break stuff everywhere and everything and you gain salvage by doing that and with this salvage you can unlock different new weapons or armour. You can drive any vehicle you meet and you can transfer yourself from one safe house to another one on the map. Sometimes it can prove difficult, there are some bugs and sometimes the game gets stuck and you have to restart it. Overall a great game and I enjoyed finish it.
