Very addicting gameplay, action fans will love this. Some of the most creative stories this time around, definitely cool

Gamespots poor review shows that they have given up with rating games in the "beat em up/hack and slash" genres of video games in favor of the more "commercial" COD series and EA Sports. Call of Duty/most modern shooters and EA Sports titles are the same every year yet they get great reviews. I trust most of Gamespots reviews but their reviews when it comes EA sports, shooters or the beat em up genre are only the one man's opinion and gamers should do their own research and use the points the reviewers made as additional knowlege as to whether or not to further learn about the game or buy it. Critics and gamers alike badmouth the beat em up genre for being similar to other similar style games, but no one ever talks bad about a sport game or a shooter when they do the same thing as the "Warrior" series aka Dynasty/Samurai Warriors.

As for the game Sengoku Basara Samurai Heroes (aka Sengoku Basara 3) the game's action is very fun and easy to pick up. Combos and specials are easy to execute and look amazing. There are lots of items to acquire after completing stages. There are multiple story paths for roughly 20 characters and the action is only tiring if you are playing as a character you dont really like. I have just passed the 100 hour mark and I still have not yet fully completed the game. This is one that will make you want to play for a long time.

The soundtrack is great for fans of rock/metal.

The graphics are well done for a Wii game, although on the PS3 its obviously better so the PS3 version would be the preferred one if you have both systems. I have the Wii version and it plays like a normal game ie no need to shake the remote like a sword to play. The game also supports the Wii classic controller for those who have one.

Lots of replay value here folks, at least 3 weeks of 12 hours a day was spent playing this to complete the stories and not doing anything extra. Do the math here, thats a lot of gameplay and well worth the money. The last games I was this addicted to when first getting were Oblivion, Wrestlemania 2000, Super Mario Bros 3 on NES, and Dragon Age Origins.
