Action packed game, amazing history and more than you expect
My first thought about it was: "well, every step I take, will completely change the game". The graphics look good, the ship battles are extremely exciting, your first sword fight is like a dream and when you dance with a governor daughter you get disappointed. It's all good, but the dances make no sense for me, in harder levels, it becomes almost impossible, particularly, I can't understand her hand gestures.
After 2, 3 hours playing the game just get repetitive, swords fights gets really easy and ships battles are just the same, rarely change, you can use the same tactics forever and most of the time( I never lost one battle) you will win, same for sword fights. But in a point the game you say "Oh my God", yes, the player, or me itself, got surprised with the land battles, they are not difficult, they are strange, your buccaneers (musketeers guys) most of the times, misses a shot, and your melee units always lost when you drawn.
In conclusion, Sid Meier's Pirates is a fantastic game, but two or three thing on it, makes it, sometimes, extremely disappointing.
