SM Pirates is basic and really fun, because you can level up without feeling you have to reach certain points, you can also level down and take things in your stride. Really there is no real way to win, yet there is a defined way to complete the game which increases with difficulty the further you play.
The problem for me, is that while I wanted to play I guessed that the ending really had no reward for me, I was really quite content in playing the game how I wanted to play it and that was enough.
This game is good for low end PCs in the current market i.e 2008. But if you are getting a new computer in 2009 then you will probably find much better games to run on your computer.
To me this game is much about the gameplay and the element of pirates.
