Sly Cooper 4: Thieves in Time

User Rating: 9 | Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time PS3
After waiting a long time for the sequel for Sly Cooper, I finnaly got my hands on Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. And since I am such an avid fan of the series, I beat it in over a week. The game, overall, was awesome. I loved the idea of playing Sly's ancestors, each with their own special ability. Sanzaru Games Inc. brought back one of my favorite games into an epic sequel. So here is my rating for each thing I look for. Graphics: 10/10 - Amazing. Gameplay and Controls: 7/10 - A little confusing, but fun. Storyline: 9/10 - "The Grizz" I felt, was not needed in the game as I thought his character was stupid. His whole background was how he was shunned from his art. But when you face him in the boss battle he says that all he's wanted to do was to skate. What is up with that?! Dialogue: 6/10 - Some of the jokes and comebacks I thought were really stupid. And the whole thing of Sly naming Caveman Cooper, "Bob". Just... no. [WARNING! THIS NEXT SECTION IS ABOUT THE REVIEW FOR THE ENDING OF SLY COOPER 4: THIEVES IN TIME. IF YOU HAVE NOT BEAT THE GAME, I SUGGEST YOU NOT READ THIS NEXT PART AS IT CONTAINS SPOILERS!] Okay, now for the ending. Final Boss: Le Paradox. I liked this guy, he's the first skunk in Sly Cooper and his character I thought was really cool. But his boss battle, I was disappointed with. You chase him for a bit, the ol' jump and hit the circle button routine. His boss battle reminded me of how you fought bosses in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed where you press a button on the screen to do your attack. This was what you did with Le Paradox, mash the buttons that appear on screen to dodge attacks and attack. After you kill him, you somehow disappear and the gang and Carmelita are looking for you. I later found out that there is a secret ending where you (Sly) are in Egypt. This leaves room for Sanzaru to make a sequel. Hopefully, the maybe-sequel will not take as long to make as Sly 4 did, and will be released for the PS3 and not just exclusively to a new-gen platform system. All we can now do is wait and see...
