The game is better than the first, but still lacks what the original sonic games had.

Sonic Rivals 2 is a fast paced game for the PSP. It is the second installment in the Sonic PSP games. Sonic Rivals was a terrible game with some frustrating moments, cheap losses ( the opponet would gain a 30 foot lead in 0.03 seconds) , and not enough stages/ characters. Sonic Rivals 2 has changed that a little. There is 4 more characters, new stages, not as many cheap wins, and a bigger story. Although the game has changed, it is still extremely diffucult to beat story mode. Also after you beat story mode, there are no more characters or stages to unlock so there is no reason to keep on playing the game. It is nothing like the original Sonic games.
I like the graphics and gameplay in the game. The racing with sonic is a good idea. The problem is that they turned the idea from good to bad. On the psp, you can hardly see what's coming next so you'll have to play the stage 4 or more times to get use to the surrondings and know what's coming up next. The Bottom Line is: It's good to rent, but it's nothing like the original Sonic games.
