The 3DS version of The Adventures of Tintin doesn't fare much better than the console versions.

Saw the movie, loved it, best movie of the year, or the most fun certainly. The 360 game was merely passable, some neat touches and stages. After seeing the movie, I know the games do not follow it, or it modifies it, for the worse. There is no Sakharine in the game, Red Rackham is in it though, which begs the question why? Allan serves as the main villain, and it completely ruins or at least lessens Haddock's story of redemption. The movie had some epic action scenes, such as the fight with the cranes, the motorcycle chase, none of which are present here. The platforming is okay and functional, the 3D is actually pretty good, though it hurts the framerate severely. There is one cool moment, where you slide down a cave and fall through a bunch of platforms, that was a highlight and looked very impressive, other than that, again, there's not a whole lot to recommend in the game. It is more or less the same game as the 360 version with a few tweaks and some sections cut completely, like the motorcycle one, the sword fights were tedious in the console version, here, they're even worse, I hated fending off the bottles that were being thrown, I think I got 2 or maybe 3, the stylus controls are so slow. The platforming is sometimes quite fun, towards the end where you gain some momentum and leap quickly from platform to platform, jumping off walls and climbing. Skip the game and rather watch the movie and then, maybe give it a shot if you have the opportunity to rent it or something.
