I've played for almost 100 hours by now. Finished it twice (single player and co-op.) There is still so much to do. Not even close getting bored. Let's see the good sides first:
Map is big. Atleast when first time playing. It offers so much to discover and explore. It offers great balance of survival, base building and fighting. Enemies act differently. You can't be sure what cannibal are up to. It is almost must to play trough again, just to see how I can make it easier for me. Building base in different location, trying to be stealthy etc. There is endless possibilities.
Some times mutants and cannibals just keep coming. Not sure if it was a bug or game mechanics. (After googling, I found out that it's build in the game.) Also, it might be counted as bad feature that this game makes every other survival game feel so dumb. I don't want to spend all my time just finding food and drink, there should be also other aspects that keeps me playing more and more.
Only real bad feature is lack of weapons and tools. You can't really use chainsaw for mutants. It's no good. So you just keep using axe or bow. Would love to get useful modern day shotgun or something like that. Hope they add more in the Forest 2.
Simply put: I love this game. Have not liked a game this much in years. I immersed into this game, really did. I hoped it would never end. Still playing from time to time, 3rd time a charm, but I kind a miss that feeling when exploring new island for the first time.
