The full Unreal Engine 5 gameplay demonstration on PS5 was shown as part of Geoff Keighley's Summer Games Fest, and it is not part of a larger game. However, the game is running in real-time on a PS5 and the visuals are approaching photo-realism.
Unreal Engine 5 will also be compatible with Xbox Series X and other platforms, and in mid-2021 Fortnite will switch to the new engine on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Both PS5 and Xbox Series X will get Fortnite at launch with Unreal Engine 4.
