Poll Would you buy an insatenly exepnsive limited, scalper infested Gameboy if Nintendo re-released it? (27 votes)

Of course 11%
Not 89%

Hello. I was thinking, while on the toilet, it would be nice to have a Gameboy. Even though the Game Gear was better.

If Nintendo re-released this with built in games, some modern features, at an obscene price, would you buy it or just use emulators, and go to hell? Like a sinner?

Are you are soyjak face, who probably works for IGN?

I wouldn’t have any issues buying it at MSRP because I follow the right people on Twitter. I bought all the other mini consoles at MSRP on launch. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I sold my Gameboy Pocket the other day, got 38 euro for it and I used that money to buy like 8 or 9 Yakuza games.

Rather have something I can look forward to playing rather than something catching dust and doing nothing in a cupboard someplace in my house.

No. Would I want a GameBoy, I'd buy one of those other handhelds that look like GameBoys, are affordable and good, load it with roms and go to hell.

Plus these buttons man, the anbernic devices feel straight up like Nintendo buttons.

Retroid feels like a Vita.

Long gone are the days where these were cheap, terrible chinese devices.

They basically do everything we expect from Nintendo and Sony devices.

No, I still have my original and it still works 😊😁😁😁

Say what you want about modern electronics, but they sure built things to last in the 90's.

No, my gameboy was a Pokémon machine, I have been able to play those games on numerous devices for years, I'd have happily paid Nintendo to download them on other devices as well, multiple times, but Nintendo doesn't want to do that so oh well.

If Elvis can do it..

Do people actually game while they shit? Taking a shit takes like 5 minutes. You can't get any real gaming done in that time unless you sit there for way longer than you need in your own poo smell. Doesn't sound that awesome or comfortable..

Edit: Nvm, I found a thread about the subject with a lot of dudes who has families. They use the toilet to get away from their families, as that's the one room they don't get bothered in. I can get that. A less annoying family would be preferable, but I can understand. Rest of the toilet gamers just seems to have a gaming problem.

Golden does a lot of Switch gaming on the shitter, I don't know how people can sit in their own filth. And 5mins, hell no, i'm washing my hands after 2mins lol.

Stinking up the place does sound like a great idea to get away from the family.

As much as I have fond memories of Gameboy Color, I wouldn't buy it again by today's standard as @SolidGame_basic said already, you can play Gameboy games on Switch.

Game gear and Gameboy can all be emulated super easily on whatever handheld emulator you prefer.

Heck you could do it on your phone, but I'm a huge fan of tactile buttons and I feel those make all the difference in the world.

Probably would buy although only if I could get it through a store. No way in hell would I ever buy anything from a filthy scalper. Would also depend on what games were on it.

I already have the Nintendo portables and an Analogue Pocket as well as some other portables. I would have to see what they make and if it is interesting enough. I'm not sure if they can beat the Analogue Pocket.

It would be cool for a new generation of gamers to experience all that though.

I suspect of that 86% (protest vote), about 77% would actually buy it.

Gamers are the quintessential example of all bark and no bite.

Pc based handhelds aren't your thing cup?

Also... The pinnacle of man was 1994. We have been on the backslide ever since. I don't think cup is stuck in the 90s....he just knows what it's like to live during the elite phase of human existance.

@TheEroica: lol yeah...I wasn't being rude. He always talks about Doom or Quake or Duke 3D or something pre 2000. It's just funny, that's all.
