It's going to be a paid game. Going up against free to play games like Overwatch and xDefiant which people keep telling me is succesful.

I can see it having no succes, and may God have mercy on our souls.

@tdkmillsy: what bet did he lose? Cuz I asked him to take a bet once and he was very averse to the idea.

@mrbojangles25: when you play a really immersive game like Half Life or Mass Effect it feels like your actions have an effect on the world. It feels like your story.

Instead when you play a game with lots of cutscenes, one where you watch big name actors play out scenes it feels like your watching someone else's story.

I'm sure some will think differently but I think that TLOU had a good blend of cutscenes and gameplay which resulted in the player feeling connected. However a lot of current cinematic games miss that mark.

Probably their worst State of Play to date. Why does Xbox keep destroying them with the Xbox game shows?

Seriously where the hell are Days Gone 2 or Ghost of Tsushima 2?

It feels like most Sony studios have yet to make their first game for PS5 and that console is in half of its lifespan. Almost out the door for a probably Slim and more likely Pro edition.

Sony is so up in live service, PC and VR land they forgot to make things for the main attraction.

@SolidGame_basic: you should try Astro's playroom on the Portal. Check out those Dualsense abilities on there.

@R4gn4r0k: Fortunately, I don't have a favorite YouTube or default YouTuber. I am sensitive to bullshit and the majority of them trigger my bullshit meter one or more times.šŸ˜‚

Well I like Phelous or AVGN for their comedic value, they review a lot of bad games or bad TV series.

But when it comes to gaming influencers I like Gmanlives or Jarek the Gaming dragon to give two examples, as they cover the genre I love the most: which is FPS.

Usually when they are sponsored they will disclose such a thing. But yeah Jarek for example the other day he gave some examples of mails he receives. And the fact is the bigger your channel, them more of them sweet sweet subscribers you have, the bigger your ad billboard is, so to speak.

@R4gn4r0k: Blank is inaccurate, it is more that most people don't care or aren't willing to spend time sifting through the noise. Their daily lives is already stressful and adding more to it is not appealing. This is to the detriment of societal trends because it allows the people who have the power to inject ideas into the masses with little resistance.

It's also because people believe that video game websites or influencers will inform them on the good games... But there is so much more at play.

I remember there was this huge backlash to traditional review sites (the gamespots and IGNs) and people flocked to influencers which were just regular guys making videos from their basem... homes. So much more attractive than big name websites.

But even influencers have become corruptable.

Heck probably more so. If you just listen to your favourite youtuber or whatever, and he starts listening the types of mails/deals he receives on a daily basis. It's kinda crazy to think about.

Advertisement/influencing of the average joe will shift to whatever is the most trending at the moment.
